DragonSword: Awakening Eona's Legacy and Windmill Guide

Clear regional fog and unlock Warp through Eona's Legacy, then use ancient windmill wind paths correctly with a mounted Familiar.

Eona's Legacy removes fog; windmills move you quickly

These are connected exploration tools but not the same mechanic. Activating Eona's Legacy removes fog from its regional World Map area and enables Warp. An ancient windmill provides a wind path: interact with it, mount a Familiar, and enter the path for fast travel along its fixed route.

If the goal is to reveal a region or create a warp destination, look for Eona's Legacy. If the goal is to cross a known gap faster, use the windmill route. The interactive map has an Eona's Legacy layer with 11 current markers; place a personal pin before setting out.

Finish Alvwyn's Bond Quest, then complete the local trial

The official guide identifies completion of NPC Alvwyn's Bond Quest as the activation requirement. After the quest points you to a Legacy, inspect the nearby note, tower perimeter, lower paths, and marked trial entrance before searching a whole region. The local objective may be a component, a nearby interaction puzzle, or a platforming route; return to the Legacy after completing it to confirm the activation.

Fog disappearing and Warp becoming available are the confirmation that the Legacy worked. Completing a remote objective without returning to the structure can leave the actual activation unfinished.

Enter the wind path while mounted

At an ancient windmill, interact with the mechanism, summon the Familiar, and ride into the wind path. The route is fixed, so it is a traversal shortcut rather than free flight. Use it to avoid repeating a climb or to bridge terrain you have already reached, not as a substitute for the Familiar ability required by a blocked route.

The Familiar unlock guide explains which movement options you have; the Exploration and Map Guide helps separate wind paths, Warps, Statues of Organa, and ordinary map markers.

Check the condition that matches the symptom

  • The fog remains: check whether Alvwyn's required Bond Quest and the local trial are complete, then return to the Legacy interaction.
  • There is no Warp: treat that as the same unfinished Legacy activation, not a windmill failure.
  • The wind path will not carry you: interact with the ancient windmill first and enter while mounted on a Familiar.
  • The route is still blocked: compare the obstacle with the required Familiar movement ability instead of repeatedly approaching it from the same side.
