How to build a Signal Skill team
A working chain passes a status from one hero to the next. The first skill applies the status, the following Signal Skill checks for that status, and any extra activation condition must also be met.
Start with the status handoff
Choose an Opener whose listed route skill applies a status. Then look for a Connector with a Signal Skill that triggers from the same status. The analysis panel shows the exact applying and triggering skills for that pair.
Check both sides of the Connector
The middle hero has two jobs: receive the first handoff and create the next one. Select the Connector slot before choosing a hero so the character pool can compare that hero with the occupied slots on both sides.
Read conditions before locking the lineup
A matching status does not override a skill-specific activation rule. When a link displays an additional condition, open its details and account for that condition before treating the route as available in every situation.
Use a recommended team as a starting point
Load a recommended lineup, inspect its two adjacent links, and replace one hero at a time. This keeps the working part of the chain visible while you compare alternatives for the slot you want to change.
Team Builder FAQ
What creates a Signal Skill link?
The earlier hero must apply the status required by the next hero’s Signal Skill. For example, a skill that applies Stun can connect to a Signal Skill that triggers from Stun, as long as any additional activation condition is also met.
Does character order matter?
Yes. The tool evaluates directed links from Opener to Connector and from Connector to Finisher. Reversing two heroes can remove a link because applying and triggering skills do not automatically work in both directions.
Why does a hero match one slot but not another?
Each slot is compared with its occupied neighbor or neighbors. A hero may receive a valid status from one side but fail to pass a useful status to the other, so the same hero can be compatible as a Finisher and incompatible as a Connector.
Does a complete Signal chain guarantee the best team?
No. This tool checks documented Signal Skill handoffs and their activation conditions. Character investment, equipment, Karma, encounter mechanics, and the damage or support needs of the lineup still affect the final choice.
